President
Dáire is IT Sligo Students’ Union President for the upcoming academic year 2021/22. Dáire is 21 years old and from Monaghan but now resides in Sligo full time. He has graduated this year from IT Sligo with a degree in Sports with Business. Dáire was also a sports scholarship recipient for the three years he spent studying in the institute and has given guest talks with Dr Eddie Murphy and Studyclix to IT Sligo and Leaving Cert students.
Dáire says: “IT Sligo gave me more than just a degree, which I’m extremely grateful for. It seems only fitting that I get to work alongside IT Sligo with the Students’ Union this year representing the students at the highest level. It will be my job to ensure the student’s voice is heard and acted on always.”
The President of the Students’ Union, Dáire will take over as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Students’ Union and therefore will oversee the implementation of all Union Policy within the College. The President will also sit on the Governing Body, Academic Council and a vast array of additional committees and sub-committees within IT Sligo.
